I have always had a passion for style and the way things look. I took an interest in photography, even from a young age. Being able to capture special moments so that I could relive them later was something I adored about photography. As years have passed me by, I started not only photographing moments, but I started creating them! Staging and arranging visually stimulating moments.
I didn’t start taking photography seriously as a career until 2009 when I got my act together and applied to be a part of the Photographic Technology program at NAIT. This was a leap for me and I took it without looking back.
It was during my years at Photography School that my love for taking people’s portraits grew.
In 2011, I started working as a boudoir photographer for another Edmonton based studio and instantly fell in love. <3 I finally had found my niche; Boudoir Photography. This art sparked a true passion, something I didn’t know was possible with a career. Being able to absolutely love what you do is a true blessing.
13 Years and 1642 Empowered Clients later, I opened my very own Boudoir Photography Studio in Edmonton, a dream come true.
Edmonton Boudoir Photography is all about celebrating who you already are and for me I love being able to capture people as their true authentic selves. Getting to watch people unfold. To see themselves in a new light and finally being able to embrace their inner and outer beauty. This is why I love boudoir.
Who is Calie Brianna Boudoir Photography?
There is something about taking a person’s intimate portrait that just makes people light up. That is the great thing about boudoir photography, it doesn’t matter how old you are, what size you are, or how you identify. None of these things matter. It truly is here to make anyone and everyone look and FEEL as fabulous as they already are.
When I’m not living my literal dream and taking beautiful, raw, and genuine photos of people, I can be seen in the Edmonton River Valley.
My creative brain tends to run on overdrive, full throttle. This means I need to keep myself busy! I have two fabulous fur babies, Bodhi my 7-Year Old Labrador Retriever and Griffey my 3-Year Old German Shepherd Rottweiler Pitbull. Whether it be our daily Edmonton River Valley dog park runs or finding a beautiful hike somewhere in the Alberta mountains, I love exploring and being outside.
My Summers are usually filled with adventures, playing sports and in the chilly Edmonton Winters I am an avid gym nut. Keeping active is very important to me and it helps me feel better mentally and physically.
My personality is very bubbly and it is my goal to try and make everyone laugh, especially at your boudoir photo shoot! A few words I would use to describe my true self are: sarcastic, big hearted, an empath, jokester, and thoughtful.
