Outdoor Boudoir Photography in Edmonton
Flashback to a few years now, when I manifested doing an outdoor boudoir session here in Edmonton. I had always wanted to do a boudoir session outside but always thought that I would have to travel somewhere cooler than Edmonton to find the perfect location. I didn’t think that Edmonton had anywhere really cool to offer outdoor wise for a boudoir photo shoot, as most parks are public and doing a boudoir session outside might be frowned upon by on goers, especially if the model was going to be naked.
After getting an inquiry from the ever fabulous Miss K herself, I found out she was making a trip to Alberta to visit our mountains and while she was here she wanted to do an outdoor boudoir photoshoot, but naked and to be one with nature!
Off I went trying to find the perfect spot. Close to my neighbourhood I have explored around on dog walks and have stumbled upon a fairly secluded area with wicked trees and river valley vibes, but these places are quite the hike to get to, and likely wouldn’t work for a quick boudoir session, but I ended up finding a spot off a road nearby that we could climb down the side of the road into this beautiful treed area with a stream.
It was set in stone, and I was so excited for Miss K’s shoot to come!
This is one of my favourite boudoir sessions to date! I love being outdoors and one with nature, so it was truly a dream come true getting to do a boudoir session outside.
Ever since this photoshoot with Miss K I haven’t had to many inquiries for people who want to go outside for their boudoir session, until flash forward to April 2023, Miss S fell into my life.
Another outdoor boudoir session, I was secretly so ecstatic. April isn’t typically a time of year that is super lush with colour or lots of foliage just yet. In Edmonton, April tends to be very “blah” looking if you will, things are still pretty dead from winter, the snow has mostly melted, so I was SUPER worried about how my cute outdoor boudoir location would turn out in the photos. After warning her that the foliage isn’t what it usually is down there, she wasn’t worried at all.
I am truly so happy that we followed through with the outdoor boudoir session and didn’t cancel or wait till later in the summer, as the ‘deadness’ looking backdrop was oh so perfect. These photos of Miss S are quite different than the ones I took of Miss K so many years ago, but I think they turned out beautifully! It’s quite the juxtaposition of having a beautiful woman in lace lingerie frolicking in the deadness of spring.
Outdoor boudoir sessions offers a unique opportunity to capture intimate moments amidst natural beauty. The soft sunlight filtering through the trees, the gentle breeze , and the earthy scents enhancing the sensual atmosphere. The outdoor setting adds a touch of ethereal charm to the boudoir photography session. I love being able to create visually striking images that exude a sense of freedom and connection with nature.
Much Love,
